The mood...

Hey everybody!

We thought we might give folks a little insight into the atmosphere of our wedding.  We're not planning a very formal event:  more along the lines of a picnic than a sit-down dinner.  So dress for frisbee, croquet, and dining on a picnic blanket.  Wear whatever you'd like: something nice, but comfortable.

Registry

"We've been together such a long time..." so we have one or two of all the household appliances and things, so please no gifts.  But if you feel like getting us something, please have a look at our Honeymoon Registry or our REI Registry.  

Where to Stay

Of course there are many options for hotels in the area, so we've done a little research and found three great choices.  The links will take you right through to the reservations page for each hotel.

First there's the Courtyard by Mariott in Brentwood.  Great AAA deal and pretty close to the venue.  Check it out!

Next there's the Days Inn West Nashville on White Bridge Road.  White Bridge is actually the same road as Woodmont (where the church is), so just cruise down the road a little bit and you're there!  Close to Target, the world famous Bobby's Dairy Dip, and several great Vietnamese restaurants.  Best value at $55/night.

Then we have the Extended Stay America on West End Ave.  Still really close and once again close to tons of shops and stuff to do.  Go Climbing at Climb Nashville nearby in your free time!  It's about $80 per night.

We're getting married, y'all!

If you're reading this, you probably already know we're getting married!  Yyyyyeah!  So we thought we'd set up this blog as a convenient way to tell you what you need to know.  Here are the basics.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, September 5th, 2009, at 4 PM at the First Unitarian Church of Nashville at 1808 Woodmont Blvd., right here in Nashville, TN.
